Young people from spare-time club build a peat house in 1997 in occation of a culturweek, which was hold in Qasigiannguit and was make over to Qasigiannguit localmuseum. - look at the page of building, Illunnguaq, peat house.

Come and visit the Greenlandic traditionel home, which was build before the years around the second wall war. The peat house is build of stone and peat, indside the valls, loft and floor are of different kinds of woods.
Its a reasonable big wooden blank bed, where it is possible to prolong the blank bed, with it would number of staying the night would increase. At the peat house, you can use the stove/fireplace to heating peat-house and cook your food with one of the pots. The soapstones lamb is to decoration and with it its give a tuning of a itself to using the lamb, the keepingchest, and much moore can also apple to see in the peat-house. About Christmas decorates the peat-house with oldfations and homemade christmasdecorations, which is festoon, handmade christmas tree, and much moore and it is really comfortable.

Greenlandic food:

In our town we have a great draughtsman. You have here possibility to see the actual drawing of a drawing. And also you have opportunity to try draw some of the techniqui´s, if you are interested.

Greenlandic polka:
To reservation forward order you can have an experience and see at the dance group such is are only children. The childrens are as well learn in spare-time club.

In our town we have educated the mask dancer. Mask dance was been perform in many years here in Greenland. The mask dance are to affect, to try frigthen the children and the adults. The purpose of the mask dance was and is, to try reach the persons to become stronger in there minds.
In mask dance they paint their face and bind their face with a line. With forward order you have a possibility to have an experience the unforgetable the Mask dance.

Allunaariaqattaarneq/Strap practice:
Our forefathers cannot avoid at own a kayak. And if you should be a good kayakman, you cannot eather avoid to try strap practices. At the winter, the strap practices was done inside at the peat-houses, in the meantime is dark and cold outside.
The interest can have a forward ordering for strap practecing, and if you are interest you can eventually self apply to try the strap practeing

Differently tradicional Greenlandic cames:
We have many differently Greenlandic cames, we can precent and also played them.

Such as: Arsaaqqat, handle to trial of strength is one of a good intertainment. Arsaaqqat is two smaller rounded knob, connected with a short rope between sticks. You take each of knob and sit dawn on the floor or on the ground with feet knocked each other and with that you try to pull against yourself. Eqitaq, is also a rounded stick.You take the stick each end and then do the same as previous game.

Ajagaq, catch game is also a game from many years back. Ajagaq is made by a pease of wood stick, shoulder blade of a seal or of a hare and a skin belt as lace, about 75 centimetre long. There is different size of holes in that shoulder blade. And with it you play/game to hit the holes. In the old days has many ways to play with Ajagaq.
